TradingView Alerts to Auto-Orders 2026: WunderTrading Setup (No Code, 15 Min)
You built a TradingView strategy that prints money in backtest. Now what? You need it to fire real orders automatically - and WunderTrading's webhook bridge is the fastest no-code way to do it.
We ran a live TradingView-driven bot on WunderTrading for 60 days (+8.4%). This is the complete setup.
How It Works
Zero code, zero servers, works with any TV alert - built-in indicator, community script, or your own Pine strategy.

In WunderTrading → Signal Bot → Create:
- Exchange: your connected account (Binance, Bybit, OKX...)
- Pair: e.g. BTC/USDT
- Order type: market or limit
- Size: fixed amount or % of balance
- Take profit / stop loss: set defaults (e.g. +4% / -2%)
It generates a webhook URL - your private endpoint.
Step 2: Wire the TradingView Alert
On your TradingView chart:
The JSON Message Format
For a buy:
json
{
"action": "buy",
"contracts": "0.01"
}
With TP/SL overrides:
json
{
"action": "buy",
"contracts": "0.01",
"take_profit": "5%",
"stop_loss": "2%"
}
WunderTrading parses TV alert placeholders too - {{close}}, {{strategy.order.contracts}} - so dynamic sizing from Pine works.
Step 3: Test Before Going Live
Our 60-Day Live Test
- Strategy: RSI divergence + EMA50 filter on BTC/USDT, 4h chart
- Capital: $1,000
- Result: +8.4% net, 19 trades, 63% win rate
- Latency: 1.2s average alert-to-fill
- Missed/misfired orders: 0
The killer feature: when BTC pumped +6% in an hour, the TV alert caught the move and the TP attached correctly at +4% - a manual trader would have missed it.
Common Errors and Fixes
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Alert fires, no order | Check webhook URL copied fully (no spaces) |
| Order fires, wrong side | Pine strategy sends "sell" on exit - set TV to "Order fills only" mode |
| JSON error | Missing quotes around "action" - copy format exactly |
| Duplicate orders | Alert set to "Once per bar close" - prevents re-fires intra-bar |
| Slippage | Use limit orders or add "price" param; market orders slip in fast moves |
Pine Script Quickstart
Inside your strategy, orders already generate alerts - you just need the alert message. Add this line so every fill sends the webhook:
pine
alert('{"action": "buy", "contracts": "0.01"}', alert.freq_all)
Then set the alert to "alert() function calls only".
WunderTrading vs DIY Webhook Setup
| WunderTrading | DIY (own server + bot) | |
|---|---|---|
| Setup time | 15 min | Days |
| Uptime | Managed | Your problem |
| Exchange support | 15+ built-in | Code each one |
| Cost | Free tier / $10+ | Server + maintenance |
| Control | High | Total |
Unless you want a custom pipeline, the managed route wins on reliability.
FAQ
Do I need TradingView Pro? Free TV gives 1 alert; alerts-at-scale need a paid TV plan. WunderTrading side works free. Does it work with any indicator? Anything that can fire a TV alert - built-ins, community scripts, your own Pine code. How fast is execution? ~1-2 seconds from alert to exchange order in our tests. Can I run multiple pairs? Yes - one signal bot per pair, all managed in the dashboard.Advanced JSON Commands
Beyond basic buy, the webhook accepts full lifecycle commands:
Sell/exit:json
{
"action": "sell",
"contracts": "0.01"
}
Partial exit:json
{
"action": "sell",
"contracts": "50%"
}
Short side (futures):json
{
"action": "sell",
"contracts": "0.01",
"take_profit": "-4%",
"stop_loss": "2%"
}
Dynamic sizing from Pine is the real power: use {{strategy.order.contracts}} and TV placeholders so the alert carries your strategy's actual position size.
Strategy Ideas That Actually Automate Well
| TV concept | Why it automates | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| RSI oversold bounce | Clear trigger, defined TP | Overtrading in trends |
| EMA cross (9/21) | Simple, low false signals | Whipsaw in chop |
| Bollinger band breakout | Momentum capture | Fake-outs - use volume filter |
| Supertrend flip | Trend-following, few signals | Late entries on V-reversals |
| VWAP reclaim | Institutional level | Session-dependent |
Avoid automating: news-based strategies, anything needing order-flow reads, or signals that repaint.
TradingView Plan Requirements
| TV plan | Alerts | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 alert | Test only |
| Essential | ~20 alerts | Minimum for real automation |
| Plus | ~100 | Multiple pairs/bots |
| Premium | 400 | Serious multi-strategy setups |
Budget: TV Essential (~$15/mo) + WunderTrading free/starter (~$10) = full automation stack for under $25/month.
Failure Modes to Prepare For
- TV alert spam: a repainting indicator can fire 50 alerts/minute → 50 orders. Always use "once per bar close".
- Webhook URL leak: anyone with the URL can fire orders on your bot. Treat it like a password; regenerate if exposed.
- Exchange downtime: Binance maintenance = missed fills. WunderTrading logs failed orders so you can see the gap.
- TV outage: rare, but happens - no alerts fire, positions stay open. Keep hard stops on every position server-side.
FAQ (Extended)
Can I backtest the whole pipeline? TV strategy tester for the signals side + WunderTrading paper mode for execution. Combined: near-full simulation before a dollar is live. What if my strategy sends signals faster than my plan allows? Alerts queue drops silently - you will see "missed" signals in TV logs. Upgrade or reduce alert count. Works on Bybit/OKX/KuCoin? Same webhook, different exchange connection - all 15+ supported. Can alerts trigger DCA sequences? Yes - the signal bot can be configured to average down on subsequent buy signals, not just one-shot entries.Bottom Line
If your edge lives on TradingView, WunderTrading is the shortest path to automating it: webhook in, orders out, no infrastructure. 15 minutes from idea to live bot.
